Fez sua especialização nos Estados Unidos, no Serviço de Dermatologia do Hospital Henry Ford especializou-se em cirurgia de Mohs no serviço do Dr. Leonard Goldberg. Atualmente trabalha com o grupo Madison Medical Affiliates, é Professora Assistente Clínica no Medical College of Wisconsin e continua colaborando com o Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisa em Dermatologia.

Chrysalyne D. Schmults, MD, MSCE, is a Professor of dermatology at Harvard Medical School. She received her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, completed her residency at New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY, and her fellowship was completed at Skin Laser and Surgery Specialist of NY and NJ in New York, NY.

For 4 years, Dr Schmults was a part of the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania before becoming the director of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery Center in Boston, MA. She founded the Dana Farber Cancer Institute High-Risk Skin Cancer Clinic that cares for patients with multiple skin cancers, severe sun damage, or tumors at high risk for recurrence. The clinic has become a referral center for patients with locally advanced and metastatic basal and squamous cell carcinoma (BCC and SCC, respectively) in need of advanced multidisciplinary care and clinical trials. The clinic is one of only a handful worldwide that is dedicated to this patient population.

Dr Schmults has developed new staging systems for SCC and BCC, which for the first time identified the subset of patients in need of studies of staging and adjuvant treatment. She was a member of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) 8th edition SCC task force, which was informed by her BWH SCC staging system, and is the editor of the first textbook on high-risk SCC. She is currently the chair of the non-melanoma panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) which develops guidelines of care for cancer patients.

Dr Schmults has served on the board of directors of the American College of Mohs Surgeons and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and as president of the International Immunology and Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative.

He practices research mainly in the field of dermato-oncology, and in the evaluation of inflammatory diseases and skin aging, since 1995, mainly focused on melanoma and skin cancer early identification by dermoscopy, digital image analysis, confocal microscopy and optical coherence tomography. Identification of biomarkers and genetics for characterization of familial syndromes and somatic mutations related with different tumor aspects and aggressiveness represent other areas of research.

He has been involved as Principal Investigator in several competitive projects including Italian and European Union funded grants.

He is/has been member and board of National and International Dermatologic Society, and President of the World Congress of Dermatology, Milan 2019

Leonard Goldberg

Dr. Goldberg received his medical degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1967. He completed his residency in Dermatology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He is board certified in South Africa in Internal Medicine and in the United States in Dermatology.

Dr. Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell at Methodist Hospital and the University of Texas McGovern Medical School at Houston, both in Houston, Texas.

He is a Director of the Dermatological Surgery Fellowship for the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr. Goldberg is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery.

He has been a speaker at numerous national and international meetings. He is the author of 350 publications in peer reviewed journals and several book chapters. Dr. Goldberg has mentored many students and residents, trained over 50 US surgical fellows, and many international dermatologists in Mohs surgery. He has successfully built his practice to currently include 13 locations, 20 doctors, and 150 staff members.

Maria Javiera Pérez-Anker

Cirujana dedicada de forma mayoritaria  a oncología cutánea desde el año 2010, con más de 2000 cirugías realizadas  (cirugía de Mohs, cirugía de biopsia selectiva de ganglio centinela, exéresis simples y reconstrucciones).

Responsable por iniciar la cirugía de Mohs en Uruguay, además de iniciar el primer centro formador en esta técnica en ese país, en el año 2010.

Responsable por instaurar la técnica de cirugía de Mohs con micrcoscopía confocal ex vivo en Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, desde el año 2017.

Responsable por entrenamiento de Dermatólogos y médicos de otras especialidades en microscopía confocal ex vivo en Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, desde el año 2017.

Docente de Dermatología, por la Universidad de la República en cargo anterior a Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (2010 a 2016).

Miguel Sanchez Viera

Dr. Sanchez Viera soon specialized in Skin Cancer and Aesthetics, in which he enjoys international recognition.

He has worked in large public and private hospitals, such as the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid, where he was responsible for the Skin Cancer and Dermatologic Surgery.

He currently focuses his activity at the Institute of Integral Dermatology (IDEI) in Madrid, of which he is founder and director, and collaborates with several private hospitals.

He has been a professor of Dermatology at the Complutense University of Madrid and is lecturer, author of numerous articles and member of numerous national and international scientific associations.

Master’s degree in integrated health systems management from ESADE and in Management of Health Institutions from IESE.

Currently, he is Coordinator of the Spanish Group of Aesthetic and Therapeutic Dermatology (GEDET) of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
